Autism is a developmental disorder that affects areas of social interaction, Stereotypic behavior, Language and communication.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurological brain disorder that impairs a person’s behaviour as well as his ability to communicate and interact.
Presents as a triad of disorders which include:
i. Persistent challenges in social interaction.
ii. Deficits in speech and communication.
iii. Obsessive interests and repetitive/stereotypic behaviours.
They mainly they may communicate, interact, behave, and learn in ways that are different from most other people.
Autism is a faceless disorder. There is often nothing about how people with ASD look that sets them apart from other people, but they may communicate, interact, behave, and learn in ways that are different from most other people.
Scientists do not know yet exactly what causes these differences for most people with ASD.
About 1 in 54 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network in 2020. ASD is 4 times more common among boys than among girls.
